Parish Clerk
Salary in the range £14.21 to £19.90 per hour
18 hours per week working from home and attending weekly surgeries and various evening meetings
Ardingly Parish Council is looking to appoint a qualified Clerk with the drive, determination and organisational skills to manage a varied workload. Responsibilities will include preparation of agendas, attendance at meetings and production of minutes, advising the Council on matters of local council law and procedures and actioning resolutions.
In addition to managing the day-to-day work of the Parish Council, the post holder will work closely with Councillors to plan and implement the aims and objectives of the Council.
The ideal applicant will have administrative experience, IT, organisational and inter-personal skills and have knowledge of local government and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for working with residents and local organisations. If not already in possession of CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) the Council will require the successful candidate to obtain this qualification by 2024.
