St Peter’s Pre-School is a friendly village pre-school, set in glorious countryside on the outskirts of Ardingly village, and has been providing care and education for the youngest children of Ardingly for over 40 years. The pre-school was originally set up in 1965 by parents concerned at the lack of local provision for children aged 2 to 5 years old. They formed a committee, raised the necessary funds and through their energy and commitment, founded one of Ardingly’s enduring institutions.
St. Peter’s Pre-School is a registered charity run by parents offering places for up to 26 children on five mornings and four afternoons each week for 38 weeks of the academic calendar. The pre-school is registered with Ofsted and has consistently achieved a commendable rating of ‘good’.
All 3 & 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours free early years education. St Peter’s Pre-school is a nurturing first step into education where staff endeavour to encourage a sense of confidence and community by creating a safe place for children to play, learn and have fun.
