Scouting gives children more confidence, responsibility and a broader set of friends. Scouting can help develop social skills and encourage self-sufficiency, and gives access to activities and opportunities that may have been otherwise unavailable to them. We may go camping, hiking, abseiling, cycling or canoeing and we also meet with friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.
