On May 7th, voters will take part in the scheduled local election to choose a representative for the West Sussex County Council. These elections are held every four years and determine who will represent local areas in county-level decision making.
The area of Ardingly is part of the Worth Forest electoral division. This division was created under The County of West Sussex (Electoral Changes) Order 2005. As part of this reorganisation, West Sussex was divided into 62 single-member divisions, of which Worth Forest is one.
The Worth Forest division includes the Ardingly and Balcombe ward, the Copthorne and Worth ward, and Turners Hill parish, all within Mid Sussex District.
The election will determine who represents this division on the County Council for the next four-year term. The previous representative for the division was Bruce Forbes.
Residents can cast their vote in person at Hapstead Hall on May 7th. Voters will choose from the listed candidates standing in this year’s election.
