Pedestrian access improvements – January 2024

West Sussex County Council have started pedestrian improvement access works in Ardingly this month.  The project aims to improve safety to and from the primary school and the pre-school, including putting in place road crossings. The project also redesigns kerbs, adds markings to the road and resurfaces pavement areas.  There will be a minor impact on the road layout and certain parking arrangements, however, these will not be significant.

The project has been developed including consultations with the School, Church, Parish Council and businesses in the vicinity. A leaflet should be delivered to households and businesses in the area in due course.  Further information can be found at WSCC on Twitter @WSHighways, or call them on 0330 222 6366 or email [email protected].
