Business & Organisations

Ardingly is highly unusual for a rural parish in the number of organisations of national importance located here as well as valued local stores and busineses. Between them, they provide a wide range of local employment and attract many visitors to the village.

Wakehurst Place

Wakehurst, previously known as Wakehurst Place, is a house and botanic gardens in West Sussex, England, owned by the National Trust but used and managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Ardingly Activity Centre

Ardingly Reservoir is home to the Ardingly Activity Centre, located near the dam wall. The centre uses the reservoir for a variety of water sports and coarse fishing.

South of England Showground

The South of England Showground is home to the South of England Agricultural Society, a charity which funds and supports agricultural education and countryside learning.

The Koorana Centre

Established in 2012, the centre aims to provide safe, nurturing and uplifting experiences in an environment where everyone feels welcome.

Ardingly College

Ardingly College is an independent boarding and day school in Ardingly. The school is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference and of the Woodard Corporation of independent schools and as such has a strong Anglo-Catholic tradition.
