SUMMARY:H is for Hawk (Ardingly Films)
DESCRIPTION:The upcoming film to be screened at Hapstead Hall on Thursday 28th May will be ‘H is for Hawk’.  Celebrated for its uplifting spirit, gentle humour, and deeply moving storytelling, it’s a beautifully warm and inspiring film. It follows Helen (Claire Foy), who, after the sudden death of her father (Brendan Gleeson), loses herself in the memories of their time birding and exploring the natural world together.  She turns the ancient art of falconry, training a wild goshawk named Mabel, to navigate her profound loss but as she teaches Mabel to hunt and fly free, Helen discovers how deeply she has neglected her own emotions and life. What begins as an act of endurance transforms into an intimate journey of resilience and healing.\nTickets at £8 are available in advance from Fellows Bakery and Ardingly News Shop or online via TicketSource at this link.  Doors open at 7pm on the evening and the film will start at 7.30pm.  As always, refreshments will be available both before the film and during the interval.\n\nThis will be our final film prior to the summer break, as Cinemobile, the organisation which provides the films, has informed us that they will be taking a well-earned holiday during June. Unfortunately, there will therefore be no screening on Thursday 25th June, as previously scheduled.\nSo, following ‘H is for Hawk’, we will take our usual summer break and return in September.  The autumn screening dates are:\nThursday 24th September\nThursday 22nd October\nThursday 26th November\n\n
